So I bought a guide from KillerGuides and from their online presence, they have been in this guide industry for quite some time.

I bought their Swtor Imperial Operative guide featuring the beginning parts of the Imperial Agent guide and then breaking off at level 10 to focus mainly on the advanced class or the ever might Operative. From cover to cover, the guide sets out with an introduction and basic knowledge of the SWTOR advanced class and some general strategies. It gets interesting after the intro as the guide features a whole set of different sections on how to play up your character. They feature skills & builds, questing strategies (my favorite part), weapons and items to be used and how to earn SWTOR credits on the fly. If saving time is your strategy to play the game, I would recommend this guide from their site. They even have a SWTOR bundle package deal.

As mentioned in the previous article about SWTOR Operatives being the master of stealth, this article is a follow up!

So, what do we know and don’t know about the Operative?

What we do know:

Stealth is their specialty; surprise is in the job requirement.

In very close ranged combat, the Operative substitute a rifle/gun for a knife/dagger.

They can specialize in medicinal healing.

We know about their companions.

What we don’t know:

Upon the actual release on the 20th, will there be more additions to the class?

What else are Operatives are capable of that we don’t know of yet?

How much layers of conspiracies within conspiracies do the SWTOR Imperial Agent class contribute to?

We can only speculate what they can do so much.

It was briefly mentioned when an Operative’s cover has been blown, they can call in an air strike. Don’t take my word on it until solid evidence has been posted.Drop us a line when you actually see the actual footage!

For more detailed information about Operative Speculation, check out this SWTOR Operative Guide.

The Operative. A stealthy and camouflaged specialist within the SWTOR Imperial Agent class. The Operative at the start of the game can use swords and daggers, all for short ranged, close combat situations. This can be achieved from the skill tree “Concealment”. By advancing through this skill tree, players are able to gain more stealth abilities to use. Although not a great fighter, the Operative’s main goal is to be concealed until they execute an ambush attack i.e. using stealth.

Check out this video to get a peek on stealth mode:

But players will face several challenges when playing the Operative class. One of those challenges being: the challenge levels in the game are quite high. In perspective, the Operative cannot sneak throughout the game; it takes the fun out of it. Classes who are adapted to close range combat can easily overwhelm a lone Operative. Yet, the Operative’s range is close to mid-range (rifles). This class does not have the access to the strongest weapons. They may have guns and rifles but in actuality, their Medic skill is more advantageous in a prolonged battle.

However, if Operatives are used wisely and without fault, players can comfortably continuously use this class without any hassle.

Operatives gain a SWTOR Sniper-like ability but that does not in any way allow them to become a Sniper; that is what that class is for. That class is specialized in sniping people; Operatives are not.

In conclusion, not everything is completely lost when it comes to the Operative. This class has nice rifles:

Weapons

These weapons alone will help the Operative triumph through combat. Neat, huh?

If you’re looking for more than preliminary info, this SWTOR Operative Guide is recommended. The manual is also available as part of a SWTOR Complete Guides Bundle; further recommended for serious SWTOR gamers.

Here’s an introductory guide to Operative, for more in-dept information and gaming insights, check out this SWTOR Operative Guide.

Some forewarnings, this is not the desired class for those seeking flashy characters or weapons attacks. The Operative has no lightsaber or access to the powers of the Force. However, the Operative is superior in attacks where positioning and tactics are key, and is a formidable PvP opponent.

The Operative is a one man army, able to use the cover of darkness and stealth techniques to eliminate enemies from close range or from a distance. They can also use their knowledge of cutting-edge medical technologies to keep their comrades healthy enough to continue fighting. Able to quickly identify and match the needs of any situation, the Operative reacts with lightning speed and deadly efficiency.

With regards to specific abilities, the Operative can unleash a high-damage Backstab ability for use in close range stealth assassinations, or a Shiv ability to use in face-to-face scenarios. The Operative also possesses a poison-over-time ability that can used to cover his tracks or draw suspicion to another. The self-heal function can also be used to counter any damage incurred while on a mission.

The motivation of the Imperial Operative is professional perfection. Although it is highly unlikely that they will ever come anywhere near the upper region of Imperial society, it is enough for them to know that they represent the ideal of a supreme soldier to all citizens loyal to the Empire, and their commitment to that ideal is what keeps them going in the field whether they are alone or with other Operatives. Protection of the Empire is everything.

This article is a good starting point to learn about Operative. Check out this SWTOR Operative Guide for more advanced details, insights and gameplay tactics.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a MMO game taking place thousands of years before the events of the Luke Skywalker saga. In it, players have the chance to play to align themselves with either the Sith Empire or the Galactic Republic as they fight for supremacy and control of the galaxy. The game includes 8 different classes of playable characters, including the Operative.

The SWTOR Operative Guide gives plenty of background information on this particular class, revealing that the Empire does not attempt to rule the galaxy solely through the dark side of the Force. Their Machiavellian machinations employ unseen schemes and operations carried out by Imperial Intelligence agents. These agents track and locate enemies of the Empire, from obstinate senators to Republic rebels and carry out Imperial commands, which are usually the elimination of their opponents.

To this end, the best Imperial Agents develop a mastery of the arts of infiltration, manipulation and assassination achieve glory for the Empire. Those who manage to stand out from other intelligence agents become known as operatives. This specialization denotes one who has become an expert in several disciplines in order to more easily adapt to any environment and carry out Imperial commands.
